Join a virtual life-time learning series called Compass Talks.

Topic: From Classical to Curious: How Exploring More Makes You Stand Out
Speaker: Sun Chang

Description: Do you ever feel like you have to specialize to be valuable? What if embracing your curiosities made you even more extraordinary?

I’m a music lecturer at NPU, but am a lot of other things: pianist, harpsichordist, viola da gambist, jazz pianist, collaborative pianist, ballet pianist, researcher of historical women composers, and more!

In this talk, I’ll take you through my journey across musical genres and instruments, with live musical demonstrations to show how these seemingly separate worlds connect in surprising ways.

Beyond music, we’ll also explore how everyday skills—whether from hobbies or housework—translate into professional strengths. You might be surprised at the hidden connections in your own life!

Join me for an engaging, interactive session that challenges the myth of specialization and celebrates the power of curiosity.
-Sun Chang Music

Join esteemed North Park community members as they discuss meaningful topics curated to spark inspiration.

Registration will be required to gain access to the Zoom Link.
